Ask Grandma Margie

Margie Jean Davis was born in Macon Georgia. She was the first born of Walter Davis Jr. and Gertrude Phelts Davis. She had one brother, Walter Davis III. From the age of four until the age of 47 she lived in the Bronx and Brooklyn NY. Ms. Margie Greene-Moss is a retired Registered Nurse. She began her nursing career after graduating from Helena Fuld LPN school in New York N.Y.  10 years later she returned to nursing school at Bronx Community College and became a Registered Nurse. Ms. Greene-Moss relocated, with her family to Macon Georgia in 1978. She then graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the Science of Nursing, BSN. from Georgia College in Ga.    During her career as a nurse Ms. Greene-Moss obtained a Real Estate sales license in the state of Georgia.  She sold Real Estate, part-time for Century 21, in Macon, for 3 years while on staff at a local medical facility. She often took her children with her to scout neighborhoods for potential property listings. Ms. Greene-Moss was employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dublin Georgia for 20 years. She really enjoyed working for such dedicated men and women of the US. Military. After retirement she worked with several Visiting Nurse agencies such as Home Health and Hospice.  In 2003 Ms. Margie, (as some call her) established and managed a very eloquent Gospel Supper Club, over 3000.sq ft space.in East Dublin Ga.  The “Highest Praise Gospel Supper Club” was available to groups and church celebrations without alcoholic beverages or smoking.   Her salary from nursing employment kept the club open for five years. Ms. Moss was an Alumni of Leadership Dublin-Laurens County for eight years. Ms. Margie Moss served as a Nurse Volunteer at the American Red Cross in Dublin Georgia until 2018.  Ms. Margie was a member at Wabash Church of God in Dublin Georgia over 25 years.  Ms. Margie’ love for the Lord grew and blossomed at Wabash Church of God, under the ministry of Pastor Reginald May and his wife Lisa of Macon Georgia.  Pastor May speaks from the depth of his soul, the Word of God and teaches the importance of going into the presence of God, directly from the Bible.  She enjoyed a deep love and friendship with many of the members at Wabash Church of God. Ms. Margie established and chaired two outreach ministries while a member at Wabash Church of God. The first was a Food, Clothes and Shoes give-away, to the community. The other, a 60 Plus group, for men and women over 60 years of age, to fellowship.  Ms. Margie enjoys the work it takes to bring happiness and smiles to the faces of people.    She enjoys the work involved in edifying the church of God. In 2017 Ms. Margie, relocated to Jacksonville Florida, where she resides with her family. Ms. Margie is a member at Westside Baptist Church and assist teaching Sunday School lessons as needed.  She has five well established and God blessed children.  Ms. Margie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.  She likes comparing them to their parents when they were at their age. She also enjoys spending time with her four great-grand girls.  Ms. Margie expects a great-grand boy in just a few months of this writing. Ms. Margie is known publicly as “GrandmaMargie.”  She picked up this title after making several YouTube videos and speaking to youth groups about how to recognize the potential for Relationship Violence.  Ms. Margie enjoys writing.  

Grandmamargie is the author of a two “Based on True Life Story” books.  Mizzie (U R never alone), and Mizzie (U R never alone Volume 2). Her most recently published book, "How to Be Entrenched With The Son of God is also available at Amazon Books and Barnes and Noble Books".  She writes blogs on two Facebook websites, “Angelsandvisionsreveal.com” and Mizzie (U R never alone) Ms. Margie is presently a student at The BBC School of Theology in Fairburn Ga.
